The Room Next Door

 From the New Yorker review: "Pedro Almodóvar’s melancholy new melodrama, “The Room Next Door,” about two New York-based writers, confronts ultimate matters with a conflicted blend of candor and evasion. Ingrid (Julianne Moore), a novelist, reconnects with a once-close friend, Martha (Tilda Swinton), a war reporter, who has cancer.

This is moving cinema whose main theme is Death and Dying.  The central character's goal is  to be in control of the time of her demise, not dependent on her doctor's hali Mair passes.  

Beautifully shot, it is more like theater than a movie.
